Job description
Special Needs Learning Support Assistant - communication difficulties, autism, PMLD, learning disabilities, visual and hearing impairments- Kidderminster - 29th November 2021.Are you experienced with special needs and can you adapt to new surroundings?
I am currently recruiting for a special needs school in Kidderminster that are looking to appoint a new Learning Support Assistant with special needs experience to join their team. The position is covering a maternity long term position at the school but has the opportunity to go longer. They are seeking people that are have special needs experience and that are happy to support with personal care and manual handling.
You will be working in a Year 8 class alongside 8 pupils who are working at a level of between 2-5 years.
The school caters for children aged between 3-19 which also includes a 16 bed residential site.
The successful candidate will bring at least 1 years of experience to the role and a desire to work with children with SEND. You will be empathetic and determined to make a difference.
I have built a strong and trusting relationship with the staff at the school and have taken the time to learn their needs. There are many staff employed in the school and everyone has a really good work ethic.
