SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour - Autism - Staffordshire - September 2021Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference to your student's lives? Are you comfortable and confident supporting children with special educational needs on a 1-1 or small group basis?
I am currently recruiting for a Special Educational Needs School based in Staffordshire, that are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for their school. The post is initially a temporary position with a view to going permanent for the right person.
As a specialist Behaviour SEN Teaching Assistant you will be expected to have interpersonal skills and able to manage the different behaviours of the students. Class sizes may vary from day to day but are typically small groups so marking is significantly lower than in a mainstream school. All classes have other Teaching Assistant's also so there is plenty of support available to you.
Although the school is very large it is a very close-knit community and everyone helps to support one another to ensure pupils thrive. The school have some of the best equipment for their pupils.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be driven and motivated and will genuinely want to be an excellent role model. You will be part of the school with an OFSTED rating of "GOOD" and they are keen to maintain that score and push for the school to be the best it can be.
