Job description
Are you an experiences SENCO looking for a change or an enthusiastic teacher looking for a new and exciting challenge?I am currently recruiting on behalf of one of my large Wolverhampton behaviour schools for an inspirational SENCO who is committed to inclusion and has the desire to maintain the highest standards of provision for SEND and SEMH pupils. You will be supporting pupils with their academic, personal and social development. The school has a larger than average number of pupils on the national SEND register so the role is demanding and challenging but very rewarding.
The successful applicant will take responsibility for SEND learning throughout the school. You will be able to effectively lead and manage the SEND team and will work closely with parents to ensure they are kept involved and informed of their child's progress.
We are looking for:
* a fully qualified teacher with experience of acting as SENCO or holds the National Award for SENCO
* wide experience of working with pupils with a range of special educational needs
* excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
