Job description

We are seeking a nursery manager for our 70-place setting in Rugby town centre, as the existing manager will be taking on a different role within the group. You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the nursery, leading the team towards attaining outstanding provision for our children.

You will have a passion for childcare, and the differences that early years practitioners make to a child's development.

This role will suit either a current manager looking for a greater challenge and further progression opportunities, or an experienced deputy ready to take on additional responsibility. Support from existing group managers and senior staff will be tailored to your needs.
We expect you to collaborate with other group nurseries in progressing our internal strategy and ensuring a consistently high standard of care across all sites. In return you will have an immediate support network of experienced managers and a senior leadership team that is dedicated to their staff and passionate about offering the very best childcare.

Job type
This is a full time, permanent role.
£27,000 - 30,000 per year + benefits

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
*Minimum 5 years childcare experience (required)
*Minimum NVQ Childcare Level 3 or equivalent
*In-depth knowledge of Early Years pedagogy and best practice
*Knowledge of OFSTED grade descriptors general standards and the recent changes
*Proven track record in attaining and/or supporting a minimum Good OFSTED result
*Strong leadership and communication skills
*Exceptional standards of customer service - professional, polite and positive in all verbal and non-verbal interactions with staff, parents, children and visitors.
*Energy and enthusiasm - ability to motivate and drive a team to achieve their best
*Ambition and vision - We are a dynamic group, and expect managers to contribute to, and collaborate with us on strategic initiatives to achieve our future goals
*Business acumen - appreciate the importance of marketing and promotional activities to attract families and ensure continuous occupancy growth
*Awareness and understanding of key computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
*The ideal candidate will preferably have additional experience within SENCO/safeguarding
*Complete enhanced DBS check
