Assistant School NurseWe are seeking to employ an Assistant School Nurse to work in school under the direction of the School Nurse and to deputise in her absence.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within this fantastic Secondary Specialist School's health centre, meeting the daily medical support needs for the fabulous young people across the year group settings.
The successful applicant will also work closely with the dedicated teaching staff offering support, advice and guidance to enable them to support the pupils safely and effectively.
The role is interesting, varied and the young people, despite their difficulties, are a positive joy to work with and each milestone achieved, however small, makes the role very rewarding.
Due to the nature of the young people's disabilities and difficulties, many of the children require daily administration of medication or other interventions such as gastrostomy feeding, catheter and continence care.
You will be involved in the provision of awareness and competency training and assessment for teaching assistants and support staff. On occasions some of the young people may require emergency intervention and possible transfer to hospital.
Along with these routine interventions, you will at times, work in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team which includes Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and Speech and Language therapists as well as supporting the running of clinics within school for external health professionals, including Optometry, Dieticians and Paediatric Consultants.

We are seeking to appoint a Registered Nurse (RN or RCN) to assist the lead school Nurse within the School's health centre and around the school site working 08.30 am to 16.00 pm Monday to Friday during Warwickshire's term time.
The role is 35 hours per week - Term Time Only (TTO, 39 Weeks).
You will be supported by me, Rob Holland. I am Aspire People's Senior Office & Technical consultant and we have been supplying non-teaching staff to schools in Coventry for the past 5 years.
