The benefit of working so closely with your pupils is that you get to understand them a lot better than what you would if you was just in a usual teaching assistant role. This can really aid the amount that the child develops in his time with yourself.

Whilst being a 1:1 TA your role enables you to work with specific students who are in need of your aid, this benefits the student as you are working closely with the pupil rather than assisting a whole class of children.

Due to you spending time with and interacting with only a handful of students over time it makes it even more worthwhile to see them progress, as it may be due to the way you have helped them in their education. ​
