Aspire are working with a successful Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Derby who are looking for positive Youth Workers to start after half term for at least 8 weeks and possibly longer.
Are you passionate about supporting the learning of all students? Can you help to create a positive environment for vulnerable young people?
This rewarding Youth Worker role will involve leading taught sessions to small groups of students, providing internal cover, supporting pupils on a one to one basis and assisting class teachers. You will be working across several sites so a full UK driver's license and access to a car will be essential.
The PRU has 5 core sites across Manchester and cater for secondary students who have been excluded from mainstream education. They focus on helping young people to develop both academically and socially, with the aim to integrate them back into school where possible and help overcome barriers to learning.

To be successful in this Youth Worker role you will need;
*Experience supporting young people in a PRU or with SEMH
*Strong behaviour management
*Excellent communication skills
*Good knowledge of numeracy and literacy

*A youth worker qualification
