About the Role:
Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher for a well-established primary school in Shrewsbury. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will play a key part in preparing Year 6 students for their transition to secondary school. As the Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the curriculum and ensuring that your students are confident and well-prepared for SATs and the next stage of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and challenging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum, with particular emphasis on English and Maths.
Prepare pupils for the SATs, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of the curriculum and feel confident in their abilities.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and set individual learning targets.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to succeed.
Support students' emotional and social development, providing guidance as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
Work closely with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child's progress, providing feedback and advice on how they can support their learning.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure consistency across year groups and to share resources and ideas.
Contribute to the school community by participating in events, extracurricular activities, and school trips.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching Year 6, particularly preparing students for SATs, is preferred.
Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, with particular focus on English, Maths, and preparation for secondary school.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with additional needs.
A passion for teaching and helping students achieve their full potential.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
