About the Role:
Aspire People are working with a friendly and forward-thinking primary school in Telford to recruit a Year 2 Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of children's education, helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will lead a vibrant classroom, delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire pupils. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating school environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, teach, and assess exciting and effective lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
Create a safe, nurturing, and motivating classroom environment.
Monitor and track pupils' progress, providing support where needed to ensure all children achieve their potential.
Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support children's learning and wellbeing.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (ETCS welcome).
Passionate about teaching and inspiring young learners.
Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and early years pedagogy.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
