Job description
Aspire People are recruiting on behalf of a friendly, community-focused primary school in the M27 area that is seeking a confident Year 2 Teacher to join their KS1 team on a long-term basis.This school places a strong emphasis on pupil progress without pressure, ensuring children are supported academically and emotionally as they complete their KS1 journey.
The Role
Full class teaching responsibility in Year 2
Delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
Preparing pupils for KS1 assessments in a supportive manner
Tracking progress and using assessment to inform planning
Working closely with teaching assistants and the KS1 lead
Supporting pupils with varying abilities and learning needs
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience teaching Year 2 or upper KS1
Understanding of KS1 SATs and assessment frameworks
Calm, consistent classroom management style
Strong communication skills
