Job description
Year 1 Class Teacher-NorthfieldWe are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Northfield. The school is ideally looking for a fully qualified teacher, but would also be very happy to consider strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who demonstrate confidence, adaptability, and a positive approach to teaching and learning.
The Role:
* Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 1 cohort
* Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
* Creating a supportive and well-structured learning environment
* Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
* Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, phase colleagues, and senior leaders
* Maintaining strong behaviour management and positive relationships with pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold QTS (or be working towards it, in the case of ECTs)
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (desirable but not essential)
* Be reflective, organised, and enthusiastic about pupil progress
* Demonstrate good classroom and behaviour management
* Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
* For ECTs: show strong potential, willingness to learn, and confidence in the classroom
