Job description
A welcoming primary school in Manchester is seeking a Primary Teacher to join their Year 1 team on a long-term basis. * Teaching a Year 1 class with access to shared planning and well-established resources
* Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
* Creating a positive, nurturing, and well-structured classroom environment
* Supporting pupils with the transition from EYFS into KS1
* Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
* Working closely with year-group colleagues, teaching assistants, and support staff
* Maintaining consistent behaviour expectations across KS1
* Contributing to a collaborative and supportive team ethos
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong understanding of early reading, phonics, and core KS1 subjects
* Well-organised and engaging lesson delivery
* Positive, calm, and professional approach to classroom management
* Suitable for teachers seeking consistency, routine, and a supportive working environment
