Job description
Are you currently working in youth work, residential care, mentoring, sports coaching, or child support and looking to transition into education?Aspire People is supporting a Manchester primary school that is looking for a confident and resilient Unqualified Teaching Assistant with transferable experience working with children or young people.
Your Previous Experience Might Include:
Youth worker or behaviour mentor
Residential support worker
Sports coach working with children
Family support worker
Nursery or childcare assistant
The Role:
Supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional needs
Providing 1:1 and small group support
Helping pupils stay engaged and focused in lessons
Supporting structured routines and transitions
Acting as a positive role model within the classroom
Supporting social and emotional development
We Are Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people within the last 2 years
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A patient, firm, and consistent approach
Ability to build positive relationships quickly
A genuine interest in supporting children's development
