Secondary School Teaching Assistant - NewportAre you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a secondary school setting?
Aspire People are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Newport and South Wales, supporting students' learning, development, and wellbeing.
The Role
As a Secondary School Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups across Key Stages 3 and 4
Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
Help manage behaviour and support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
Support pupils with additional learning needs (ALN/SEMH) where applicable
Requirements
Experience working with secondary school-aged pupils
Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to register
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience supporting pupils with ALN/SEMH is desirable
