Position: Teaching Assistant - Primary (Full-time)Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
Aspire People are excited to be working with a warm and supportive primary school in St Helens who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
If you're passionate about supporting young learners and helping them build confidence and motivation in their studies, this is a fantastic opportunity. The school fosters a positive and structured environment where teamwork is key, and staff work together to provide a balanced academic and social experience for the pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist primary-aged pupils in the classroom, offering 1:1 support and working with small groups.
Provide support to the class teacher with daily activities, lesson preparation, and delivery.
Help keep students focused, motivated, and engaged in their learning.
Foster children's social skills, boost their confidence, and encourage positive behaviour.
Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation.
Collaborate closely with the teaching team to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.
Who We're Looking For:
Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting (school-based or similar experience is ideal).
A positive, patient, and approachable individual with a real passion for helping children succeed.
Someone who can build strong, supportive relationships with both pupils and staff.
A team player who communicates effectively and works well with others.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Able to provide professional references.
Holds an Enhanced DBS or is willing to apply for one.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.
