Teaching Assistant - SEN - ErdingtonAre you an experienced SEN teaching assistant looking for a new challenge?
I am currently recruiting for a large special school based in Erdington that are seeking to appoint two new teaching assistants to join their team. The positions are on a long term basis with a view to go permanent for the right people. The school are seeking Level 2/3 qualified teaching assistants with experience working with SEN children.
As a teaching assistant you will be working alongside the class teacher and supporting pupils with everyday school life. You will be a source of support for pupils and will ensure they are motivated, happy and engaged.
The school is a very large school which caters for children with a wide range of disabilities including ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD and global delay. The school caters for pupils aged 2-25.
The successful candidate will bring at least 1 years of experience to the role and a desire to work with children with SEN. You will be empathetic and determined to make a difference.
One of our teaching assistants placed at this school has said "this is such a lovely school to work in and everyone is so friendly and supportive. I was nervous at first to go in as there are so many different needs in the school but the school is ran so well and the structure is amazing".
