I am currently recruiting a teacher to work at an Alternative Provision in Leicestershire. This is an ideal opportunity for people who are looking to gain further experience working with pupils with additional needs and support challenging behaviour. This is a full time position for at least one full term.
This role involve working with pupils who are not able to access education in mainstream schools, the behaviour can be difficult, so we do look for candidates who have strong personalities, be able to work through issues the pupils display and be able to stand up to the physical demands of the work.
As a PRU Teacher you would be treated as one of the team and they would expect the following:
*Be responsible for class behaviour
*Plan lessons as required
*Any marking to be completed
*Be able to build positive relationships
*Support across the entire unit
*Follow the policies of the school including behaviour
*Work collaboratively with other members of staff
