Are you confident supporting children with special educational needs? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with a range of learning difficulties? We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and proactive SEN TA's to join one of our client's specialist schools in Shrewsbury.
This is an incredible opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of complex needs, including moderate to profound learning difficulties, autism, complex medical conditions, and physical and mobility difficulties. Many of the students also face behavioural challenges due to their conditions, and some have communication difficulties. Your support will be crucial in helping them overcome these challenges and achieve their potential.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing one-to-one and group support to pupils with diverse learning needs and complex conditions
- Assisting with communication strategies to help pupils express themselves
- Supporting positive behaviour management and helping students manage challenging behaviours
- Adapting teaching materials to meet individual needs, ensuring all students can access learning
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust support where necessary

- A dedicated, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with a passion for helping children thrive
- Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or special educational needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support pupils with communication challenges
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- A team player who is ready to contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment
