Position: Specialist Support Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are recruiting Teaching Assistants for a Specialist Primary School located in Telford, Shropshire. They cater to children aged 4-11 with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Physical Disabilities (PD), and Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ASC, MLD, PD, and SLCN.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
* Use creative and adaptive teaching methods to engage pupils and support their learning.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* Support pupils with personal care needs where required.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: Previous experience working with children with ASC, MLD, PD, or SLCN in a school or similar setting.
* Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
* Attitude: A positive, resilient, and patient attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, showing initiative and flexibility.
