SIMS AdministratorAre you an administrator looking to jump start your career with a background in education?
Do you have experience dealing with SIMS or have the passion to learn?

Here at Aspire People we are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly computer literate SIMS Administrator to work in the Derby area for when schools return in September. It is advantageous that applicants have a minimum of 6 months school administration experience and be proficient on SIMS. However, applicants with strong administration experience in a similar sector will also be considered but you must have the drive and enthusiasm to learn new skills and can adapt quickly. You must also be open to working on a temporary basis initially as most positions will be temporary to begin with but often lead to long term and permanent opportunities, so this is certainly an amazing opportunity if you have what it takes!
Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
A sound knowledge of computer databases e.g. SIMS
An excellent use of ICT skills including emails, and Microsoft office/excel.
Ability to communicate effectively with students with different cultural physical and social needs.
Awareness of the Annual Review system and processes.
Aware of the schools Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, subsequently its implications.
Can work effectively with a wide range of colleagues.
Ability to work off own initiative and constructively as part of a team.
Must be professional and flexible.
Ability to use initiative, recognising when to seek support and advice.
DBS issued within the last 12 months and signed up to the update service or be willing to pay £47.20 for a new DBS check that you can take to any education environment
You will be supported by me, Daniel Emery. I am Aspire People's Office & Technical consultant and we have been supplying non-teaching staff to schools in Derbyshire.
