Job description
**SEND Teaching Assistant - Communication & Learning Support**Aspire People are working with primary schools looking for a **SEND Teaching Assistant** to support pupils with a range of **communication and learning needs**, including speech and language difficulties and mild learning delays.
This is a **general classroom-based SEND role**, where you will support multiple pupils through a combination of **in-class support, small group interventions, and occasional 1:1 work**.
**The Role:**
* Supporting pupils with speech, language, and communication needs
* Delivering small group interventions to support learning and confidence
* Assisting pupils during lessons to help them access the curriculum
* Providing additional support on a 1:1 basis when needed
* Encouraging participation, independence, and social interaction
* Working alongside teachers and SENCO to support pupil progress
**Requirements:**
* Experience working with children with SEND or additional needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach
* Ability to work across a range of needs within a classroom setting
* Background in education, childcare, or similar is beneficial
