Position: SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary Focus (Full-time and part-time options)Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Hourly rates: from £13.50 - £14.50 dependant on experience

Your Role:
Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small-group basis, tailored to individual needs.
Working with pupils who may have ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or communication needs.
Assisting teachers and the SENDCo with personalised learning plans, behaviour strategies, and targeted interventions.
Helping pupils access learning through creative, sensory, and play-based activities.
Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence, and independence.
Working closely with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent and meaningful support.
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a primary or specialist school setting, although individuals with experience in the care sector or residential work are also encouraged to apply
Is kind, patient, resilient, and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
Can build strong relationships with pupils who need extra reassurance and structure.
Works well as part of a team and communicates confidently with staff and parents.
Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
Can provide professional references.
Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is happy to apply for one).

This role is Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm. We do have opportunities for both full-time and part-time opportunities, offering flexibility to suit your availability.
Pay rates range from £13.50 to £14.50 per hour, dependent on experience. The school also offers free on-site parking and benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible.
