Job Opportunity: SEMH Specialist Teacher (Secondary)Start After Easter Holidays
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Position: Specialist Teacher for SEMH (Secondary)
We are looking for a Specialist Teacher to join our school, focusing on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) for secondary-aged students. If you have a background in teaching students with SEMH and a passion for supporting their growth and development, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored teaching and support to secondary-aged students with SEMH, helping them overcome emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
Develop and implement individualised learning plans that promote academic progress while addressing emotional and behavioural needs.
Use a variety of behaviour management techniques to create a safe and positive learning environment for students.
Collaborate with other professionals, including SENCOs, educational psychologists, and support staff, to ensure holistic support for students.
Monitor progress, set achievable targets, and provide feedback to both students and their families.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with secondary-aged students who have SEMH, including those with challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties.
Strong knowledge of behavioural strategies, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to teaching, with the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
