Job Title: 2 roles in SEND and General Teaching AssistantLocation: Balsall Heath, Birmingham (B12)
Working Hours: 4.5 days per week (8.30- 12.30 on Fridays)
General TA:
Josh of Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a faith school located in Balsall Heath, Birmingham (B12). This role involves working closely with the class teacher to provide support to our Year 2 or Reception students.
You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning environment and helping to ensure that every student reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students in their phonics development through engaging and effective teaching methods.
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
* Providing one-on-one or group support to students to enhance their learning experience.
* Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that aligns with the values of the school.
* Working collaboratively with the teaching staff to meet the needs of all students.
* Observing and reporting on student progress to the class teacher.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a Year 2 or Reception class.
* A strong understanding of phonics and early years education.
* Compassionate, patient, and able to work well within a team.
* Commitment to the ethos and values of a faith-based school.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
