Job description
Aspire People are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SENCO Cover Supervisors with experience of working within Primary Schools to join our team in Loughborough.The role involves supporting students with special educational needs, covering classes in the absence of the SENCO teacher, and ensuring a positive learning environment that encourages student progress. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and making a difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide cover for SENCO teachers, managing and supporting students with varying needs.
* Deliver lesson plans and resources to engage students and promote inclusive learning.
* Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour.
* Adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of students.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to support students' individual education plans (IEPs).
* Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to student assessments.
Requirements:
* Experience in a classroom or educational setting (experience with SEN preferred).
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to support diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility, patience, and adaptability.
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree or relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field.
* Additional qualifications related to SEN or classroom management are a plus.
