Job description
Are you a confident, outgoing skilled TA with experience working with children with additional needs.I am working with a school in Warwickshire who I have worked with for 2 years and am trusted with all their recruitment needs.
The school find themselves in need of a very experienced TA's who have had previous experience with attachment disorder, Autism and behavioural issues. You must have worked in a primary school setting and you must be confident and able to handle challenging behaviour.
You will need to be able to show the below
Knowledge of interventions to support children, eg social skills development activities
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good personal organisation e.g. time management
Ability to supervise and organise pupils
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to show initiative in a range of situations
Ability to interact positively with pupils, parents and colleagues
Ability to plan appropriate learning activities
Understand school's policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies. (e.g. child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, SEN).
Have good level of knowledge and understanding of SEN and areas of the curriculum.
Can plan own work when required.
Confidence, sensitivity, reliability, and enthusiasm
Ability to communicate effectively with children and young people
Good interpersonal skills
