Job description
SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School, CoventryAre you passionate about supporting children and helping them flourish? We're on the lookout for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team. You'll be working with pupils with Autism and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), making a real difference to their learning, development, and confidence.
Your Role:
Support pupils with Autism and PMLD both in class and during one-to-one activities.
Help create engaging, hands-on learning experiences tailored to each child.
Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and curiosity.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to meet individual needs.
Celebrate progress and contribute to monitoring each pupil's achievements.
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and PMLD.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed.
Strong communication and team-working skills.
Flexibility and creativity to adapt resources and approaches for individual pupils.
