Job description
Aspire people are currently working with a school in Rowley Regis in Sandwell who are seeking 3 one to one SEND Teaching Assistants who have experience working 1:1 with SEND. The needs of the children are Autism, Learning Difficulties and ADHD. The roles are for a fixed 1-year contract with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.The roles are working within a KS2 (Year 4, 5 and 6) class setting supporting a child with SEND on a 1:1 basis. They need support with their social skills, managing their emotions, sensory activities, and access to the curriculum.
The school has average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.
*Support a SEND child on a 1:1basis
*Support the class teacher with daily activities
*Assess achievements of pupil.
*Ensure the student can access the curriculum
