About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Hammersmith and Fulham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with both the teaching staff and students, providing vital support in the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to make a positive impact on the education and development of young learners in a diverse and dynamic community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
Assist with the preparation and setting up of classroom resources and activities.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
Help to maintain a well-organised, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
Support students in their personal and social development, promoting inclusion and positive behavior.
Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions.
Key Requirements:
A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience working with children, either in a school or other educational setting, is beneficial but not essential.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
A willingness to undertake further professional development.
Desirable:
A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
Experience supporting children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, or other learning needs.
An up-to-date DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
