About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team located in Brent. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of students across various year groups. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored educational support, ensuring every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, including preparation of learning materials.
Provide individual or small group support to students who require extra help.
Encourage students to engage actively in lessons and participate in class activities.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
Assist with classroom management to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN), where required.
Help with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and displays.
Attend meetings and professional development opportunities as required.
Key Requirements:
A passion for education and supporting young learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
A positive attitude and patience when working with children.
A minimum of GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
Desirable:
A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with children with SEN is a plus.
DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) required.
