This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and those presenting challenging behaviours.
About the role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and social development of children with complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Working 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils with SEN in their learning and development.
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a positive and nurturing way.
Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to implement tailored educational plans for each child.
Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you must:
Have experience working with SEN children, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, and behavioural challenges.
Be empathetic, patient, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to helping children overcome obstacles.
Have strong communication and behaviour management skills to ensure children feel supported and understood.
Be adaptable and proactive, ready to meet the unique needs of each child you work with.
