Job description
Are you a Support Worker or Teaching Assistant in Birmingham looking to make a different in the lives of children and teenagers with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties? I am recruiting for a number of mainstream primary schools and alternative provisions who are looking for staff to support children with SEMH and EBD.The successful applicants will be crucial in helping these children bridge the gap in learning caused by the pandemic and readjust to school life. Whether it is in an alternative provision for students with emotional and behavioural difficulties and have been excluded from a mainstream setting or one to one in a mainstream setting, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals to support students on a one to one basis with curriculum support, anger management sessions and supporting small groups with class based activities. The role will involve working under the direction of a class teacher.
All the schools I work with offer ongoing support and guidance and a fantastic welcoming teams who are dedicated to the needs of their students.
To be part of the team you will need to be:
-NVQ level 3 Teaching Assistant (preferred)
-Team Teach or MAPA trained (preferred)
-School experience is essential
-A warm and caring individual
-Enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated to putting students first
-A team player who can use their initiative and take direction and guidance where needed.
