Job description
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant working with pupils who require additional support, in a mainstream Primary School or SEN Schools.I am currently recruiting bank staff to work in mainstream Primary and SEN schools, across Coventry & Warwickshire. Supporting pupils 1-1 in the classroom. This is an ideal opportunity if you have experience, but are looking for a more flexible working pattern. The role can be ad hoc day to day, short and long term so you can work across several schools, to suit you.
We have built up an excellent relationship with a number of schools across the region and have placed many candidates in these schools. We do look for candidates who have strong personalities and are able to work through challenges the pupils display and stand up to the physical demands of the work.
Experience has shown me our Teaching Assistants will find a school where the environment and support provided by the team is right for them and they excel in these roles. This results in working for particular schools on a regular basis, long term and in some cases have turned into a permanent role. Should this be your aim we will support you with achieving this.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you would be treated as one of the team and schools would expect the following:
Have at least 6 months experience
Have at least level 2 TA, Cache qualifications or equivalent
Support children as directed
Be able to build positive relationships
Be flexible
Follow the policies of the school including behaviour
Show initiative
Take an active role within class
Work collaboratively with other members of staff
