1:1 SEN Primary Teaching AssistantLocation: Ashby-de-la-Zouch
Pay: £95-£105 per day
Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (school hours)
Full-time: 5 days a week
Aspire People are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced 1:1 SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with special educational needs, providing focused, personalized support to help them engage with the curriculum and develop their skills.
This is a rewarding role, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in a child's educational journey. The ideal candidate will be patient, caring, and experienced in supporting children with a variety of SEN needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged child with special educational needs, supporting their engagement in lessons and activities.
Collaborate with the class teacher to implement and support individual learning plans.
Assist in managing the child's social, emotional, and behavioral needs to ensure they are included and feel supported in the classroom.
Support the child with personal care as required, ensuring their health, well-being, and safety throughout the school day.
Record the child's progress and assist in sharing feedback with parents and staff to ensure the best outcomes.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience working with primary school children, particularly those with special educational needs.
Knowledge and experience of supporting children with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Working Hours: The role is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (school hours).
