Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Telford. This full-time, temporary role is perfect for someone with significant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You don't need to be qualified, as long as you have relevant experience working with children with SEN. If you're passionate about making a difference and supporting children to reach their full potential, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with SEN across the primary school.
Assist in the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support students with specific learning needs.
Help children with various SEN, including emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties, enabling them to engage with the curriculum.
Support the teacher with lesson planning, classroom activities, and managing the class.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as necessary.
Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to ensure all children receive appropriate support.
About You:
Significant experience working with children with SEN (qualification not essential, but desirable).
A passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their best.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Patient, adaptable, and confident in managing a range of needs within the classroom.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
A positive, empathetic approach and a willingness to go the extra mile for the students.
