About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team located in the heart of Westminster. In this role, you will be supporting teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students. If you're passionate about helping young people succeed academically and emotionally, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, particularly those who require additional help.
Help students to stay focused, understand the material, and participate fully in class activities.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by providing personalized learning interventions.
Prepare classroom resources and maintain a stimulating and well-organized classroom.
Assist in monitoring student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging good behavior and academic curiosity.
Collaborate with other teaching staff and contribute to the overall development of students.
Key Requirements:
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
A positive attitude, patience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
Willingness to participate in professional development and training.
Desirable:
A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), including those with autism, ADHD, or other learning needs.
An up-to-date DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
