Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have experience working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN), or are you willing to be adaptable to individual pupils needs?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our client specialist secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This school provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Trauma, Anxiety, and Behavioral difficulties.

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students on a one-to-one or small group basis to support their learning and emotional development. You will help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, adapting your approach to meet the needs of each pupil.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with ASD, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral challenges.
- Assist with learning activities, providing tailored support in both academic and social contexts.
- Help with classroom management, encouraging positive behavior and supporting emotional well-being.
- Offer guidance and reassurance to students, helping them to build confidence and independence.
- Assist with personal care and mobility when required.
- Work alongside other professionals, including therapists, social workers, and educational psychologists.

About You:
- Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD, trauma, anxiety, or behavioral challenges is highly desirable.
- Alternatively, you must be adaptable, patient, and willing to learn and develop your skills in this area.
- A proactive, empathetic approach to working with vulnerable young people.
- Strong communication skills, both with students and colleagues.
- A commitment to providing a high standard of care and support for every student.
- Ideally, you will hold a relevant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent), but this is not essential if you are committed to professional development.

What We Offer:
- A supportive, dynamic, and inclusive team environment.
- Ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills in supporting students with SEN.
- Opportunity for career progression and temp-to-perm options for successful candidates.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking school that places the needs of its students at the heart of everything it does. If you are a compassionate, adaptable individual who thrives on supporting young people with complex needs, we would love to hear from you.

Join us in making a real difference in the lives of young people in Stoke-on-Trent. We look forward to hearing from you!
