Are you experience working with Autism? Do you want to make a different in a child's life?

One of the schools we work very closely with are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 child on a 1:1 basis with Autism. This role will commence from September 2021 and will be on going in a school based in Great Barr.
Autism can present many challenges to a child's daily life. In particular, it can impact how they engage with their learning at school. Your position as a teaching assistant gives you the perfect opportunity to help them overcome these barriers and get the most out of their education.

The ideally teaching assistant will be able to:
*establish a good routine
*Consider the learning environment -making simple steps to make the classroom environment less overwhelming
*Communicate clearly
* Manage changes and transitions
*Integrate the child's interests
