Job description
Are you an experienced SEN teacher looking for your next teaching post?I am currently recruiting for a large special school based in Walsall that are seeking to appoint a SEN teacher for their primary division. The post is initially for one term but they will review this and the right candidate could potentially gain a permanent position.
As a Primary SEN Teacher you will be involved in the marking and planning of lessons. Class sizes are reduced so the planning and marking is significantly lower than in mainstream schools. All classes have 2 or 3 teaching assistants also so there is plenty of support available to you.
The school is a very large school which caters for children with a wide range of disabilities including ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD and global delay. The school caters for pupils aged 2-18. Although the school is large it is a very close community and there is a lot of support to ensure pupils thrive. The school have some of the best equipment for their pupils including a swimming pool and gym facilities.
The successful teacher will be driven and motivated and will genuinely want to make a difference. You will be part of the schools plan to improve their OFSTED rating and will ensure pupils are making progress at or above expected levels.
