Job description
Are you an outstanding Teacher with SEN Specialist experience?I am recruiting for an exceptional SEN Teacher for one of my schools in Peterborough. The Teacher I am looking for will be confident in all aspects of SEN and will have worked within a SEN School before. The school I am recruiting for is a special school for children and young adults (aged 3-19years) with physical disabilities and complex heath needs. The pupils at this school have disabilities such as cerebral palsy, brain injuries, epilepsy. The pupils may also have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Social and Emotional difficulties.
The School have assured me that they would look to potentially keep the member of staff on a permanent post after the 12 week placement has finished, providing the Teacher is able to demonstrate fantastic Classroom and SEN skills. The school is located in Peterborough, all classrooms are fully equipped for the children in their care and the SLT are heavily involved with the day to day running of the school.
As a full time SEN Teacher, you will be expected to;
*Assess, mark and plan lessons
*Continue to monitor the different needs of each child and report any changed to the children's learning and development
*Attend department meetings
*Track progress of all pupils
*Feel comfortable attending to pupils' medical needs
*Work in partnership with other professionals such as Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapist.
