Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Team Teach Trained)Location: Manchester & Stockport
Contract: Long-term roles available

Aspire People are currently seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants with up-to-date Team Teach training to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools and specialist settings, including Alternative Provisions (APs), SEN Schools, and PRUs across Manchester and Stockport.
This is an exciting opportunity for resilient, passionate, and dedicated individuals who are confident supporting students with challenging behaviour, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support students with a range of additional needs and behavioural challenges
* Work 1:1 or with small groups, adapting support to meet individual needs
* Use Team Teach strategies to de-escalate challenging situations safely and effectively
* Build positive relationships and understand the emotional, social, and learning needs of each student
* Adapt learning approaches to ensure students can engage and make progress
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
* Hold a valid and in-date Team Teach qualification (essential)
* Have experience supporting challenging behaviour in secondary or specialist settings
* Be resilient, patient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
* Understand how to de-escalate situations and respond calmly under pressure
* Have (or be willing to apply for) a DBS on the Update Service
* Be able to provide references covering the last 2 years
