About the school:

We are working closely with a delightful three-form entry junior school in B45 Rubery - They are seeking tenacious and hard working SEN TA's to support an inclusive environment for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health; Autism spectrum disorder and global delay. The school promote good mental welfare for its pupils and staff alike.

The school is rated 'good; by OfSted, it is a welcoming nurturing school where pupils are happy and safe. Leaders are aspirational and want the best for every pupil. Leaders do all they can to make sure that pupils attend school regularly. Pupils come to school to learn and to enjoy their lessons. The teaching of reading is at the heart of the curriculum.
It is well taught by highly skilled staff. They ensure that pupils have the knowledge and skills they need to read well. This means that they achieve well and enjoy reading. Leaders set high expectations of pupils' behaviour. Pupils meet these expectations. Incidents of poor behaviour are rare. Leaders take pupils' concerns seriously. They deal with incidents of bullying effectively.

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team. The successful candidate will work with pupils in Years 3 to 6 who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will play a key role in supporting the educational and social development of these pupils, ensuring they have access to a high-quality learning experience.

SEN needs include:

- SEMH - lower framework
- ASD - high functioning
- Non-verbal
- ADHD
- Global Delay

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored support to pupils with EHCPs, both in the classroom and through one-on-one or small group sessions.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of SEN pupils.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support the monitoring of pupil progress.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Support pupils in developing social skills and managing their behavior in a constructive manner.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for each pupil.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with EHCPs, is highly desirable.
* A relevant qualification in education or child care (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, etc.) is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
