Secondary schools across Shropshire are seeking SEMH Teaching Assistants to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This long-term placement offers an opportunity to make a real difference in students' education and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
Work with teaching and pastoral staff to support learning
Assist with monitoring and reporting on student progress
Requirements:
Experience supporting SEMH students in schools or care settings
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication skills
Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
