SEMH Teaching Assistant - SolihullAspire People
Aspire People is looking for a resilient, patient and committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a specialist provision in the Solihull area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people with social, emotional and mental health needs to engage positively in their learning.

The Role
You will work closely with pupils who present with SEMH needs, providing tailored support to help them regulate emotions, build confidence and access the curriculum. Your role will involve supporting behaviour, developing trusting relationships and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Essential Requirements
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
Ability to remain calm, consistent and compassionate
A proactive, resilient and supportive approach
Relevant training or qualifications in SEMH or behaviour support are highly desirable
