Aspire People are seeking a caring, confident and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support Year 8 students in a welcoming secondary school in the B38 area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young people who face social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to students with SEMH needs, both in class and during interventions
Offer 1:1 and small group support to help with confidence, behaviour and learning
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure student progress
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour
Can remain calm, patient and professional under pressure
Builds positive relationships with students quickly
Is reliable, proactive and committed to making a difference
