Job description
Aspire People are currently seeking intervention support staff for a school in the Nottinghamshire area; the school supports children that have ASD and SEMH needs.The children have EHCP plans and require role models to engage and develop positive relationships working on a 1-1 or small groups basis.
The school provides a nurture-based approach to support primary aged children, developing their basic numeracy and literacy skills and their engagement back into education after Covid-19.
Working hours are approximately Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.
To be successful in this role you will have an outgoing and resilient personality and be able to use your own initiative; health and safety procedures and the welfare of the children are paramount.
Previous experience is advantageous as is experience of working with children who display challenging behaviour, as the role will require patience and understanding.

To be considered for the position above you will need to have the following minimum requirements:
* Level 3 or above qualification in Support Teaching and Learning or equivalent
* Relevant experience across KS1
* An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
* A proven record of raising attainment
* Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH or EBD is essential.
