Job descriptionAre you a RE and Philosophy Teacher or do you have experience teaching RE and Philosophy to KS4?
The school I am recruiting for are looking for a RE and Philosophy Teacher who can teach both subjects to Key Stage 4. The position is part time, teaching two days a week covering a maternity leave for the whole of the academic year starting in September.
The school have been working exclusively with Aspire People for the last 15 years. It is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school of over 1400 students, including 300 in the 6th Form. Its situated close to the M1 and is easily accessible by road or rail networks. This school has a continuous track record of excellence.
As a part time RE and Philosophy teacher the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected to;
«Teach RE and Philosophy to KS4 level.
«Have a passion for your specialism.
«Have the highest aspirations for the school's learners.
«Be creative, organised and driven.
« Assess, mark and plan lessons.
« Assess achievements of pupils.
«Provide progress reports and attend parent's evenings & dept meetings.
