Aspire People are an established education agency who are looking to recruit an experienced School Science Technician to work within a Secondary School in Leicester. The position is 5 days a week from September 2021 - December 2021. The School have decided to go through an agency on a temporary basis for the 4 months but there may be a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced School Science Technician to share their knowledge and expertise in order to help drive the science department forward.
Applicants must have a DBS issued within the last 12 months and signed up to the update service or be willing to pay £47.20 for a new DBS check that you can take to any education environment.
It is essential that you have relevant science technician experience and can carry out some of the following
-Supporting both candidates and science teachers throughout the day
-Setting up and using the equipment accurately and safely
-Take a proactive approach to work
-Organised and knowledge of the relevant health and safety regulations
-Able to manage the stock control of chemicals and equipment
-Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned and that chemicals and other materials are appropriately stored
