The school has maintained a Good grading with Outstanding features . Student attainment is consistently improving and the school are looking for driven teachers able to build positive relationships that nurture students and encourage learning.
The school is based in the picturesque Derbyshire country side, with sprawling sporting grounds and excellent connections to local amenities including a railway station. The township is twinned with a European partner and exchange trips within the school happen annually.
The Science department are a cohesive group of staff which share resources and planning materials inline with their teaching style which is an excellent combination of humanist and traditional approaches. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their own behaviour and a successful consequence behaviour monitoring system is used within the school.
The role requires teachers to be aware of pastoral needs of children. Have an understanding and caring attitude to SEN needs as some lessons will be within the intervention and SEN sector of the school.
To be considered for this role you must be driven and determined and be willing to lead intervention and booster sessions for students. A creative and dynamic approach will be required to allow your students to thrive and attain.
The school offer excellent CPD as do we. We offer multiple sessions throughout the year for free and the school offer paid CPD days with free training.
