Job description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to support a busy school site on a short-term basis.This is a temporary position starting 23rd February for 4 weeks.
Working hours (split shift):
06:30am - 08:00am
2:00pm - 5:00pm
Key responsibilities will include:
Opening and securing the school site
General site supervision and security
Carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs
Health and safety checks across the premises
Supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the school
Ensuring the site remains clean, safe and fully operational at all times
This role requires an experienced school caretaker. No training will be provided. The successful candidate must be able to start and perform the duties immediately.
Essential requirements:
An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
A minimum of two working references covering the last two years
Previous experience working as a school caretaker or in a similar site-based role
A strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a school environment
The ability to work independently and manage site responsibilities effectively
Reliability, professionalism and a proactive approach
